剧情介绍

On the border between Brazil and Uruguay, where abortion is legal on one side and a crime on the other, Clara, a 15-year-old girl who discovers she’s pregnant, sees her life put in jeopardy when she realizes she’s not ready to be a mother.
15 year old Brazilian teenager Clara lives in a border village between Brazil and Uruguay. Clara juggles a busy routine of school, volleyball practice and selling the honey collected by her widowed father Jo?o Pedro, while caring for her younger brother.
In the prime of her teenage youth, Clara is suddenly faced with difficult news: she’s pregnant. Tenacious and brave, she is someone who questions life, but there is something she is certain about: she is not ready to be a mother.
While highly illegal in Brazil, an abortion could be legally granted in Uruguay. Unsure of what to do next, Clara seeks out the support of her father. With only two weeks left to undergo the procedure, time is running out and getting her father’s help is no easy task. When Jo?o Pedro realizes the potential risks to his daughters life if he does not support her, he agrees to help her get to Uruguay, only to discover that as a Brazilian citizen, she is not allowed to undergo the procedure. The border between both countries is permeable in every aspect of their lives, except when it comes to Clara’s decisions over her body. A territorial border separates a women's right from a punishable crime.
During the regional volleyball championship, Bel, Clara′s friend and confidant, steals a Uruguayan ID card from another girl on the team and suggests that Clara try to use it to access a Uruguayan hospital as a last attempt to find a solution without endangering herself.
Clara’s dilemma is further complicated when her secret desire for an abortion is revealed in her conservative community. Daughter and father must unite now more than ever as the bond between them starts to rupture under the cruel threats they face from their community.
With time running out, despair starts creeping in and Clara attempts a do-it-yourself method. With these growing risks her father reaches his limit. For Jo?o Pedro there is no other option than to assume that in just under nine months, the family will be four instead of three. But Clara won’t accept this fate.
In the volleyball championship final, as her team celebrates victory, Clara takes matters into her own hands and makes the hardest choice of all.
