Lam Can-zhao is now leading his crew shooting a film about a stray dog. By observing this stray dog wander in Guangzhou city we followed into this unpredictable, peculiar and incredible journey. The film is documentary-like but not literally one. It looks like was shot by a camera that set casually in different positions, but actually we have done a lot of preparations and careful arrangements to ensure its quality. The film contains daily but uncommon stories. It reflects authentically and somehow absurdly the living-situation of some migrant workers. As the first film directed by Lam, 'THE DOG' is more like a lonely rebel's exploration and revelation to the world.
