When Helen dies young, leaving her husband behind to mourn to her, she finds herself in a surreal yet familiar afterlife. The similarly deceased prior owner of her house shows her a silent view of the living world - in a mirror - through which Helen witnesses her husband and another woman. Despite the ritual being dangerous for both the living and the dead, Helen is compelled to contact him.
