Among the boxes from their recent house move, Emilie's mother finds a book that she herself used to read when she was a little girl. She suggests that Emilie look at it to take her mind off her troubles.
This book tells the story of a little blue rabbit named Gilbert who, through his weakness for sweet things, gets kidnapped by a horrible witch.
Emilie falls asleep while reading. But while she's asleep, the story continues and comes to life.
