剧情介绍

1977年巴西电影银菊奖最佳纪录片.
In the beginning of the Twentieth Century, many immigrants (Italian mainly, Portuguese and Spanish) arrive in Sao Paulo looking for better conditions of life. They try to settle in the field, but the landlords do not sell lands for them. They are hired to work in the agriculture (coffee, cotton etc.) in horrible working conditions and very low salaries. They move to the city of Sao Paulo to work in the industry (Crespi, Votorantin, Matarazzo) and leaded by anarchists, they form the working class in Brazil, organizing strikes and fighting for better working conditions and salaries.
In 1972, Lauro Escorel Filho began the research for this documentary in a very difficult period, when Brazil was ruled by the military dictatorship. The result is a magnificent documentary, which explains the formation of the working class in Brazil. Lauro Escorel Filho uses footages of the 1935 private movie of the fascist Conde Rodolfo Crespi called "Fifteen Years of Italian Colonization in Brazil", which was made for Conde Crespi, showing his possessions in Brazil, including his factory in Sao Paulo, and was indeed a fascist propaganda. "Libertarios" shows the real conditions of the workers in the industry of Conde Crespi. In the present days, it is funny to see the credits beginning with the bibliography used for the production of the documentary, certainly to avoid problems with the Brazilian censorship at those times.
